Enclosed Gardens

The gardens at North Highfield are a real feature. Meticulously planned rockery borders tumble down from the house with steps and gravel paths leading to a fountain, a pond and extensive sloping lawns. The variety of plants is extensive, with plenty of seasonal rhododendrons, azaleas and hydrangeas, and a wide variety of acers, but also rarer stars such as Kalmia, Fascicularia, a Japanese Umbrella Pine and a Chilean Lantern Tree.

The garden is fully fenced in so dogs are unlikely to stray, and there is a climbing frame and swings for the young at heart. A summerhouse and a variety of seating areas provide for quiet relaxation.
